26:1And when Jesus finished all these words, He said to His disciples, Compare
26:2You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man is being delivered up to be crucified. Compare
26:3Then the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together in the courtyard of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, Compare
26:4And they took counsel together to seize Jesus by craftiness and kill Him. Compare
26:5But they said, Not at the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people. Compare
26:6Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, Compare
26:7A woman came to Him, having an alabaster flask of ointment of great value, and she poured it on His head as He reclined at table. Compare
26:8But when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, Why this waste? Compare
26:9For this could have been sold for much and given to the poor. Compare
26:10But Jesus, knowing it, said to them, Why do you trouble the woman? She has done a noble deed to Me. Compare
26:11For the poor you have with you always, but you do not always have Me. Compare
26:12For in pouring out this ointment on My body, she has done it for My burial. Compare
26:13Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done shall also be told as a memorial of her. Compare
26:14At that time one of the twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests Compare
26:15And said, What are you willing to give me, and I will deliver Him to you? And they weighed out to him thirty pieces of silver. Compare
26:16And from then on he sought opportunity to deliver Him up. Compare
26:17Now on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the passover? Compare
26:18And He said, Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near. I am keeping the passover at your house with My disciples. Compare
26:19And the disciples did as Jesus directed them, and they prepared the passover. Compare
26:20And when evening fell, He reclined at table with the twelve. Compare
26:21And as they were eating, He said, Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me. Compare
26:22And being greatly grieved, each one of them began to say to Him, I am not the one, am I, Lord? Compare
26:23And He answered and said, The one who dips his hand with Me in the dish, this one will betray Me. Compare
26:24The Son of Man is going away, even as it is written concerning Him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born. Compare
26:25And Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, I am not the one, am I, Rabbi? He said to him, You have said it yourself. Compare
26:26And as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it, and He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is My body. Compare
26:27And He took a cup and gave thanks, and He gave it to them, saying, Drink of it, all of you, Compare
26:28For this is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Compare
26:29But I say to you, I shall by no means drink of this product of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of My Father. Compare
26:30And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Compare
