• 4:14And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee. And reports about Him went out through all the surrounding region. Compare
• 4:15And He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by all. Compare
• 4:16And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, and according to His custom He entered on the Sabbath day into the synagogue and stood up to read. Compare
• 4:17And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, Compare
• 4:18The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to announce the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away in release those who are oppressed, Compare
• 4:19To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, the year of jubilee." Compare
• 4:20And when He rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant, He sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. Compare
• 4:21And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing. Compare
• 4:22And all bore witness to Him and marveled at the words of grace proceeding out of His mouth, and they said, Is not this Joseph's son? Compare
• 4:23And He said to them, Surely you will say this proverb to Me, Physician, heal yourself! What we heard happening in Capernaum, do here also in Your own country. Compare
• 4:24And He said, Truly I say to you that no prophet is acceptable in his own country. Compare
• 4:25But in truth I say to you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land; Compare
• 4:26And to none of them was Elijah sent, except to the city of Sarepta of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. Compare
• 4:27And there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them were cleansed, except Naaman the Syrian. Compare
• 4:28And all in the synagogue were filled with anger when they heard these things, Compare
• 4:29And they rose up and cast Him out of the city and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built so that they might throw Him down the cliff. Compare
• 4:30But He, passing through their midst, went away. Compare
