33:1These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their companies under the direction of Moses and Aaron.

33:49And they encamped beside the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

33:50Then Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

33:51Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

33:52You shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and you shall destroy all their figured stones and destroy all their molten images and demolish all their high places;

33:53And you shall take possession of the land and dwell in it, for to you I have given the land to possess it.

33:54And you shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the larger you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to anyone, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.

33:55But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those whom you let remain of them will become as splinters in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they will trouble you in the land in which you are dwelling.

33:56And just as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.

34:1Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

34:2Command the children of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan according to its borders.

34:3And your southern section shall be from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern border shall begin from the end of the Salt Sea on the east.

34:4And your border shall turn about south to the ascent of Akrabbim and pass on to Zin, and it shall go out to the south of Kadesh-barnea, even going out to Hazar-addar; then it shall pass on to Azmon.

34:5Then the border shall turn from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and it shall go out to the sea.

34:6And for the western border you shall have the Great Sea and its coast; this shall be your western border.

34:7And this shall be your northern border: From the Great Sea you shall mark out a line for yourselves to Mount Hor.

34:8From Mount Hor you shall mark out a line to the entrance of Hamath; and the border shall go out to Zedad;

34:9And the border shall go out to Ziphron, and it shall go out to Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern border.

34:10And you shall mark out your eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham;
Compare
-
34:11And the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down and reach the slope on the east of the Sea of Chinnereth;

34:12And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and it shall go out to the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders all around.

34:13And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which Jehovah has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe.

34:14For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their fathers' households and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their fathers' households and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.

34:15The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.

34:16Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

34:17These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.

34:18And you shall take one leader from each tribe to divide the land for inheritance.

34:19And these are the names of the men: For the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

34:20And for the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

34:21For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

34:22And for the tribe of the children of Dan, a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli.

34:23For the children of Joseph: For the tribe of the children of Manasseh, a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

34:24And for the tribe of the children of Ephraim, a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

34:25And for the tribe of the children of Zebulun, a leader, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

34:26And for the tribe of the children of Issachar, a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

34:27And for the tribe of the children of Asher, a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

34:28And for the tribe of the children of Naphtali, a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

34:29These are those whom Jehovah commanded to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
